Create a wishlist

A wishlist in Giftemba keeps your gift ideas in one place and lets you share them with a link. Friends can see what you would like and reserve individual items – while what has already been reserved stays hidden from you, so the surprise is preserved.

Create your wishlist in a few steps

1. Sign in to Giftemba and open My Lists.
2. Tap Create a wishlist to open the new-list dialog.
3. Give the list a name and, optionally, an occasion date (a birthday or Christmas, say).
4. Choose who the list is for and set its visibility.
5. Add a personal touch with an emoji and a colour, then save.

The list then appears in your overview, ready for you to add wishes.

Choose who can see it: Everyone, Friends only or Members only

• Everyone with the link can open the list – best for sharing widely.
• Friends only limits access to your friends in Giftemba.
• Members only shows the list solely to the people you add to it.

Who is the list for?

You can choose a giftee. Pick a person who is registered in Giftemba and they receive an invitation, becoming a linked member once they accept. Type a name that matches no account and it is simply a label. Leave the field empty and you are the giftee.

The surprise stays a surprise

As soon as others reserve items or mark them as gifted, those reservations are hidden from the person the list is for. When the list is your own, that means you will not see who is giving what – the joy lasts until the end.
