Giftemba Guides

Share a wishlist

You share a Giftemba wishlist with a link – whoever opens it can view your list and pick a gift right away, no account or sign-in required.

Create and share a link

  1. Open the list and tap Share (or Manage → People for extra capabilities such as admin).
  2. Choose what the link allows – add items, claim items, or both – and whether joining needs approval first.
  3. Copy the link, or send it straight away with the WhatsApp button. If WhatsApp won't open, the dialog offers to copy the link instead.

When the link is pasted into a chat, the preview card deliberately shows only a generic Giftemba mention – never the list name or its items – so the surprise stays intact from the moment it's shared.

What a visitor without an account can see and do

Opening the link shows the list as a grid of tiles – image, name, price and any note for each item. Items already gifted carry a "Gifted" badge so nobody buys the same thing twice; available items can be reserved straight away with a "Gift this!" button, no account needed. Where the list allows it, a visitor can also suggest an item of their own.

The surprise stays intact for the person the list is for

As soon as someone reserves an item or marks it as gifted, that stays hidden from the person the list is for. When the list is your own, that means you won't see who is giving what – but everyone else who opens the same link can see what's already taken, so nobody double-gifts.

How long a link stays valid

A link is valid for 90 days by default. Once it expires, or the list owner disables it early, visitors just see a message that the link is no longer valid – members who already joined through it keep their access.
